Hello, Bazaarians!
Community Cup 22 officially begins on Friday, September 25th, and we hope you're all looking forward to it as much as we are! Nothing has changed, this time around. We have finally settled into a place where we think the tournaments are working for everyone, reaching a far wider audience, and most of all, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves to the max!
🛒Marketplace
Starting with Community Cup 8 and moving forward, we want to be as forward as possible with where your contributions are going. Community Cups will no longer have monetary prize pools, this is strictly a casual and for-fun event. We will be increasing the amount of money that organizers receive from your contributions ($1.50). Matcherino itself will be reducing their cut ($0.75). The remaining funds from your contribution ($2.75) will go into a general pool that will be distributed as base prize pools for other community tournaments in the future.
As we have recently added a new addition to the Marketplace, do not fret! There is still a ton more in the works behind the scenes, and we can't wait to bring you some more new items, so keep your eyes out!

Prizing Update
Prizing has changed to give the Top 3 players and the Top 10% of players a reward. Previously, we gave prizes to only the Top 3 players, but we understand that this was not enticing for a lot of people. We hope this change makes the competition more rewarding and encourages more players to join in the fun!
⚠️ Players who drop out early will not receive participation rewards. Players who concede all 3 runs will be ineligible for rewards. Players who attempt to circumvent this rule by any means will also be ineligible for rewards.

Waves exist to accommodate different time zones. Choose the wave that works best for you. Participation in both waves is not allowed.

You may participate in only one of the three waves — not all of them.
- Each participant will complete 3 ranked runs.
- Only your first 3 runs will be counted.
- Conceding counts as a completed run.
- Only runs played in Ranked mode during the event time frame will count.
- Runs played in Normal mode will not be scored.
- Runs must both start and end within the timeframe of your Wave to be eligible for scoring.
- You can play any character in this event, or even multiple characters!
- Scoring is done automatically! You can save screenshots to share, but it will not be required!
🎯Scoring
- Each win during a run = 1 point
- Maximum of 10 points per run
- Maximum of 30 total points across all 3 runs
🔍 Tiebreakers
If two or more players are tied, we will resolve the tie using the following methods in order:
Tiebreaker A: Uniqueness
Players are rewarded for building unique final boards across their 3 runs.
- An item slot is considered unique for only the first final board that it is on.
- Reusing items across multiple final boards results in point deductions.
- Duplicates of an item on the same final board are considered unique.
Deductions for Reused Items:
- Large item: –3 points
- Medium item: –2 points
- Small item: –1 point
- Empty slots: No penalty
You can earn up to 10 uniqueness points per run, for a total of 30 uniqueness points across all 3 runs.
⚠️ Note: Duplicates of an item on the same final board are considered unique.
Tiebreaker B: PvP Losses
If players are still tied:
- The number of PvP days lost will be counted.
- Each PvP day lost counts equally.
- This system prevents a single late loss from being overly punishing.
Additional Tiebreakers
If further tie resolution is needed, additional criteria will be announced alongside the tournament results.
🚫Cheating
Cheating, bug abusing, exploiting, or using 3rd party tools/applications that would otherwise give you an unfair advantage over the other participants is expressly prohibited. Any participants caught or suspected of using a method deemed unfair by other participants or the Tournament Organizers will be investigated and potentially disqualified from the Tournament.
