<h1>Overview</h1> Masters Of The Arena (MOTA) is a Guild Wars 2 5v5 Conquest tournament, 12 teams, 6 from EU servers and 6 from NA will meet in glorious combat to find who is truly the best of the best! <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSR5_L2z7o0" title="Masters Of The Arena!" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Check out the teaser here!</a> Contenders will battle it out in multiple strategic point capture and holding maps with secondary objectives present as a source of additional complexity and depth. The standard PvP ruleset is in play and teams are unlimited in their approach to the game except for stacking more than one of a character specialization. The event is fueled by the infinite energy and passion of the Guild Wars 2 community and both the in game and cash prizing are being crowdfunded by the extremely generous players that inhabit the game! My previous event; The Elitist Raiding party was a massive success on Matcherino and Twitch alike and I&#39;m going to push the limits of what can be done to ensure that Masters Of The Arena will exceed the high bar that was set by ERP 3!This time around ArenaNet is also lending their aid to the tournament through gem prizing and social media support. (MOTA has no artificial ingredients) <h1>Prizing</h1> Prizing is divided into two categories; real money and in game currency. Real money prizing will be distributed between first, second and third place who will recieve 60% , 25% and 15% respectively.In game currency (Gold and Gems) will be split 60%, 20%, 10%, 10% with first, second, third and fourth.<h1 style="color: rgb(60, 60, 60); background-color: rgb(251, 251, 251);">How To Support The Tournament</h1>Matcherino is a fantastic platform that allows communities to come together and crowdfund events. The top two teams from each region move onto the grand final which is a double elimination round of 4.Matches in the regional rounds are best of three, finals day matches are best of five and the grand final is a best of seven. Cross region matches are played as two best of threes one on each region to replace a best of five and in the event of a cross region grand final it will be played as two best of fives.The winner of a cross region match is determined by weighting the scores based on region. This is explicitly detailed in the rules.The map pool consists of :<ul><li>- Legacy of the Foefire</li><li>- Forest of Niflhel</li><li>- Battle of Khylo</li><li>- Revenge of the Capricorn</li><li>- Skyhammer</li><li>- Temple of the Silent Storm</li><li>- Eternal Coliseum</li></ul>Maps are chosen randomly.Seeding for the regional rounds is determined by placements in the 3 monthly automated tournaments prior to Masters Of The Arena (March, April, May)<hr>Seeding for the grand final is determined by the finals of the regional rounds (NA winner vs EU loser and vice versa)
