Bragging Rights Community Tournament #1Hosted

signing up to take part in the first ever community driven and community funded
Grey Goo tournament, the Grey Goo Bragging Rights.The official starting date of the
tournament series will be FEBRUARY 27TH,
2017.The tournament will follow a
standard RTS tournament style. There will be one pool of individuals which will
compete for the opportunity to play in ascending matches to the finals. The
tournament is double elimination; therefore, if you lose your first best of 3,
you will be eligible for redemption provided you make it through the loser’s
bracket.The bracket will be randomly seeded
as of Friday 2/17/17 at 4:30pm EST. There will be no late acceptances of
players.The tournament format will be a
competitive, cutthroat 1v1 matchup. Because there is a lot of stress in daily
life and the majority of players have work and other engagements throughout the
day, matches will have up to 3 days to be completed (please see the deadline
schedule below). A bracket match will consist of a best of three format (2 of 3
wins must be obtained to advance).There is no race restriction, and no
build restrictions for this tournament. Players are free to be whatever race
they would like to be at any time in the tournament.There will be no bans; however,
there are some previously known exploits that if seen will be cause for
disqualification.The prize pool will consist of
community donated funds and a giveaway of Total War: Warhammer to the winner of
the tournament. The breakdown of funds to be dispersed will be as follows:First
Place: 40% of total poolSecond
Place: 20% of total PoolThird
Place: 10% of the Total PoolCasters
– 20% of the total pool collectivelyPlayers must contact their opponent
and complete their matches within the 3 days provided. Players are encouraged
to use challenge to trade steam IDs to set up matches. Players must then report
the winner to a referee or email Spikemonchi at <a href="mailto:branchom@gmail.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">branchom@gmail.com</a> to
report the winner. Recordings and bracket advancements will be made by an
approved admin. Players who host the game must
upload every replay to <a href="http://www.gamereplays.org/portal" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.gamereplays.org/greygoo/</a> for the casters. Games
will be live casted as much as possible however, the only guaranteed matches to
be live streamed are the Semifinals and the Finals matches. Videos will be used
to create a montage of winning screens and battles. It will make for a great
community package

Plains With these 7 maps in the pool each
player will have the chance to veto any 2. Once each player has cast their
vetoes there will be 3 maps remaining, a random number generator will then be
used to conclude the map picking phase.Some of these maps we have seen many
times before, some we are less familiar with, some are large and some a less
than roomy. Use your vetoes wisely! There is no requirement for
competitive level of play. The tournament is open enrollment. Please sign up
