Qualifier Overview

Qualifier Dates: 2/3, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23 Time: 5:00 PST

Entry Fee: Free

Prize Pool: $1,000 per qualifier

Capacity: 60 teams per qualifier

First 20 teams to register are confirmed.

After that teams are let into the tournament in bulks of 10.

Format: Custom server. 5 qualification matches and 5 matches in the finals. 

(If 20 Teams then 8 Final Matches) 

Platform: PC (Are controllers allowed? Yes

Tournament Format

There will be 1 tournament per night starting at 5:00 PST.


Format: Custom server. 5 qualification matches and 5 matches in the finals. 

(If 20 Teams then 8 Final Matches) 

Map: Current - WE Season 4 (Changes with the ALGS / GLL) 

Qualification:

2 servers - Top 10 Teams from each server move to finals.

3 servers- Top 6 Teams will move on to finals from each server. Also, the Top 2 teams with the best Single Match Scores will move on to the finals across all 3 servers.


Finals: - Accumulate points over the course of 5 matches.  




Point Distribution 


At the end of each Match, Teams are awarded points for their placement and the Team’s total number of kills (“Match Score”). The points awarded in each Match are:


Placement points

  • 1st: 12

  • 2nd: 9

  • 3rd: 7

  • 4th: 5

  • 5th: 4

  • 6th, 7th:3

  • 8th – 10th:2

  • 11th – 15th:1

  • 16th – 20th:0

Kill points


1 Point per kill.



Team Captain Responsibilities

Each team must designate a team captain. The team captain has the following responsibilities:

  • The team captain is the only member of the team to register and pay for the tournament.

  • Only the team captain will be paid out if the team qualifies for a portion of the prize pool.

  • The team captain must join the discord server given during the entry questions for this tournament

  • The team captain will be the main point of contact for the team. They must provide their in-game origin username, Discord account, and email when registering for the tournament. They must be actively responding in discord to the admins.

  • The team captain must be streaming, and have “Esports Arena Apex tournament” in their title.

  • Team captains will receive the server code in the discord at check-in. Make sure to be communicating actively in the Discord to ensure you make it into the server. After each match, there will be a 5 minute grace period to get your team into the next lobby so make sure to pay attention to the discord. The server Codes will be posted in the discord.



Rules

  • Registration will be locked at the start of the tournament. Make sure the team captain is registered on matcherino for the correct tournament.

  • This tournament will be played on an Apex custom server. ( code will be sent out in the discord)

  • One competitor from each Team is required to stream on Twitch and MUST enable save past broadcasts in Twitch settings.

  • In the case of a tiebreaker, the official ALGS rule set will be enforced. 


Refunds

There will be no refunds after the start of the tournament. 

Payouts

All payouts will be done through matcherino. Team Captains must have a matcherino account in order to be paid out.

    1. A semi-professional league providing monetary compensation to teams. The top Apex Legends Teams will earn the title of Esports Arena professional player and then continue fighting to maintain it. 

  2. How to Become Series E Player: 

    1. Compete in our Weekly qualifying Tournaments every Wednesday.

    2. Accumulate points over the course of the 4 weeks based on placement and participation.

    3. Earn the title of Esports Arena Professional Player

    1. Series E Players receive $500/month

  6. Is there a minimum age needed to participate?

    1. Minimum age required to participate is 16 years old 

  7. What is the Season Schedule?

    1. Qualifiers start February 2nd and run for 4 weeks. 

    2. Regular season begins the following week and play will continue for a 3-month period.

    3. Games will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday (avoiding major holiday and ALGS/GLL weeks) 

  8. How do the qualifiers work?

    1. 60 team capacity on qualifiers (first right to sign up for top 20 teams from previous week)

    2. 8 games

    4. ALGS rule set

    5. 4 Total Qualifier Events (Winning Team from each week as well as top point earners from all weeks combined) 


  1. What are player travel requirements?

    1. None! 

  2. What happens if I qualify? 

    1. You and your team will earn the title of Esports Arena Professional players and be given the opportunity to represent one of our Series E sponsors in official Series E, ALGS, GLL, and other matches for a 3-month contract. 

    2. Once sponsored you will take part in weekly sponsored social media posts, show matches, interviews, and more.
