Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up for the Bazaar Partnered Tournament Organizer Program?
Tournament creation is now open to everyone! No application required to get started! If you’d like to unlock supported prizing, and access to Bronze/Silver/Gold event tiers, you can apply here to become a Partnered Tournament Organizer. Once you apply, our team will reach out via Discord to schedule a short review and onboarding session.
What are the program benefits?
Partnered organizers unlock access to monetization, supported prize pools, and a 10% share of community contributions to the event. Open tier tournaments are meant for growth and experience, and do not offer prizing support or revenue sharing. To see the full list of benefits check out our Partnership Page
How do winners receive their prizes?
Winners receive their payouts instantly upon event finalization. They may cash out their winnings through PayPal or to a bank account within their user profile. In-game prizing will be automatically rewarded within two weeks after the event has been finalized.
Can I join the Program?
Yes! Get started by running an Open tier tournament today (which are “open” for anyone to run). If you would like to unlock supported prizing and revenue sharing, check out our Partnership page for clarification on becoming a Partnered Tournament Organizer!
How can we measure who wins in the Bazaar? There is no versus mode!
This is largely up to you, the Tournament Organizer, but we have some recommendations. Have participants complete multiple runs, with the victor being whoever has the most wins at the end of the competition. If there is a tie, wherever possible break the tie by having players complete another run. For further tiebreakers we do not recommend you calculate how long a run took, however, you may use losses, prestige remaining, or the most varied builds across the tournament as tiebreakers.
How does the Bracket system work with the Bazaar?
It is not recommended that you fill in the Matcherino bracket until the event has concluded. Please use an external tool to track which players are winning your tournament. Once you know who has won, enter all the players who need to receive prizing into the bracket, awarding them the relevant positions to allow Matcherino to automatically reward players.
How do players join my events?
Players are walked through all requirements when they attempt to join your events. Requirements include signups, attaching a Bazaar account, and fulfilling any optional requirements set by the organizer. Optional requirements may include password entry, custom form questions, and Discord joins.
Can I require players to join my Discord server?
Yes! Using our custom entry forms, organizers may provide a link to their Discord server and our system will verify players have joined before allowing them into the tournament.
Can I use prize pool funds to cover costs?
Unfortunately not. Prize pool funds are strictly reserved for the winners of the event. Misuse will result in funds being frozen and immediate removal from the program. However, Partnered Organizers earn a 10% share of revenue, which can be used to help offset event costs.
How many events can organizers host?
Open tier tournament organizers can run as many tournaments as they’d like. There’s no limit and it’s a great way to grow experience and your community. However, Partnered tournaments (which include supported and community contributed prize pools) are limited based on availability each month, depending on overall event volume and scheduling as well as region. If you are a Partnered Tournament Organizer and we have run out of slots don’t worry though! You can still run your event, it will sadly just have to be ran as an Open tier event this time, then get in early next month!
How can I verify my runs?
Each player will be in discord broadcasting their runs, and when they finish a run they can call an admin to check the victory screen before recording the score.
