Welcome to the NA Pro League! This is the crowdfunded prize pool for the Major Pro League event (as opposed to the Minor Pro League and K-League). This will be streamed biweekly on Artosis's channel and we will pool together a donation fund that spans the entire event. Each event's prize pool will be calculated as the total fund divided by 3, to ensure there is enough funding for at least two more events.

Overview

• The main event of the tournament will revolve around a monthly Major Pro League, which will stream to stream to Artosis’s channel with the top 8 NA players in a Korean-style team battle event

• Matcherino (prize pool) will be organized and advertised to fund the pay-out of the winning team for the Major Pro League on a monthly basis

• Priority entry into Major Pro League is determined by an internal ELO, which will be calculated solely on a player’s performance in the Minor Pro League or K-League events

• Select, strong or well-known players may be invited into Major Pro League with majority vote from existing pro league players

• Internal ELO is designed to be simple and to reward (1) winning and (2) participation, so as to incentivize activity and positive community participation / contributions on a weekly basis

• K-League will be organized by Zen in parallel, which will give lower ranked or lesser known players an opportunity to be “promoted” (1900+ MMR)

• Starting ELO and league placement will be initialized by an imperfect and informal process based on admin’s crowdsourced opinions of players’ skills

• Initialization will consist of bucketing players into four tiers with varying starting ELO’s (1000, 900, 800, 700)

• After initialization, Pro League eligible players will be limited by those who hold >850 ELO

• Over time, consistent losers in pro league will converge with consistent winners from K-League, allowing for the opportunity for emerging players to climb
