After months of hard work, Groove of War returns for the second major event of 2020: Groove of War 5! We have a guaranteed $1000 prize pool this time around, with anyone making it to the top 8 receiving a cash prize.Groove of War 5 will once again feature swiss brackets for 4 time zones: Europe, Asia/Oceania, East America and West America. The top players from each of these regions will make it into the global top 16 playoff bracket. Everyone gets a similar number of matches against similarly skilled opponents and a chance to prove themselves the strongest player in their time zone.The map selection process will be similar to Groove of War #3 and #4, but with 2 matches on each map per round during the early phase of the tournament. Match scheduling is also changing this time around. Rather than fixed starting times, matches will have fixed starting deadlines. Players will have until the set times twice per week to start their matches. We&#39;re hoping this offers a bit more flexibility while also having the benefit of set deadlines to make it fair to participants.
