Honoring The Brave - 2v2 Rocket League Charity Tournament
Format
Bracket Type & Series Length
Tournament bracket will be in a Double Elimination format; the bracket will be posted to the CCES² Discord, which will have each Team Captain's (see details below) Rocket League in-game name and Discord name. All matches will be played as a best of 3 series; with the exception of Winner's and Loser's side Semi-finals and Finals matches, and Grand Finals, which will be played as a best of 5 series.
Hosting and Joining Game Lobby
The higher seed Team Captain will create the lobby . The lower seed will have first choice of team color (Blue or Orange), which will not change for the duration of the match. If the match will be a featured stream match, T/O staff will create the game lobby and the higher seed team will choose team color, Important: Do not join a team in the lobby until all the players are in. The default arena played is DFH Stadium. Teams are free to change the arena at any time so long as both teams consent and the arena is playable according to "Arenas" section below.
All matches will be played through the "Private Match" in-game feature. The game settings should be set to the following:
Arena: DFH Stadium
Team Size: 2v2
Bot Difficulty: No Bots
Mutators: None
Match Time: 5 Minutes
Joinable By: Name/Password
Region: US-West (US-East region will be allowed if agreed upon by both teams and communicated to T/O staff beforehand)
Lobby Name & Password (must follow this format): (Your Team Captain's Discord name) vs (Opposing Team Captain's Discord Name). Password: Your choice (keep it simple)
- Important: Ensure you have “Cross Platform Play” turned on in your Settings under the ‘General’ tab
Team Captain will send the password and lobby name to the opposing team captain in Discord. Send an invite to the opposing team captain using their Rocket ID, which should be displayed in the bracket. Please notify an admin if there is any problem adding an opponent.
In the event that incorrect settings loaded on the server, the match should be stopped and reset. Previously played games with incorrect format will not count towards the series.
If the lobby is not set up, or if the opposing team has not joined within 10 minutes of the start of the round (which will be posted in Discord), the delaying team will be disqualified.
Team Captain
Each team must designate a Team Captain who will be responsible for the following for their team:
- The Team Captain must join the CCES² Discord (link will be provided). They will be the main point of contact for admin and team communication and must be actively responding to T/O staff in Discord.
- The Team Captain of a winning team is solely responsible for taking a screenshot of the final score screens and reporting those and final score results to the Discord server, with the lobby name included. The Team Captain is also solely responsible for having their team join their matches within the designated time.

Restrictions
Customization
Any bodies, decals, wheels, rocket boosts, toppers, antennae, goal explosions, trails, or engine audios that are currently disabled in competitive 3v3 or 2v2 queues are not permitted for use in official matches.
Streaming
Official stream for the event will be hosted at https://www.twitch.tv/colorado_ces. 1 full match, chosen at random, of each tournament round (Ex. Winner's Round 1, Loser's Round 1, Winner's Semi-Finals, Loser's Semi-Finals, etc.) will be streamed through the official page, as time and scheduling allow. However, we encourage all participants to stream their matches if they so choose, asking that any stream titles include the tournament name "Honoring the Brave" in their stream title. If you wish to stream the event please post a link to your twitch in the Discord under the "Player Streams" tab .
Payout
Payout will be based off of the amount of players entered, $15 per player, up to $500 total. I.e. Less than 34 players will equal out to a prize pool of less than $500. Payout will follow the structure below:
1st: 60% of Prize Pool
2nd: 30% of Prize Pool
3rd: 10% of Prize Pool
Rules
If there is a crash or computer issue, that occurs less than 30 seconds into the match or before the first goal is scored, matches will be fully restarted. If the issue occurs after either previous event listed, matches may be restarted with authorization from a T/O staff. Restarted matches will resume with the same score and time as when the issue occurred.
Teams are allowed to have as many subs as they would like, and how any prize winnings are distributed is at the discretion of the team captain; However, a player can not play on multiple teams in the tournament.
- Both teams participating in a match must provide 2 players at the beginning of the first game, and 2 for each consecutive game. During a game, if a team should lose 2 players that have disconnected with the intention of no longer playing in the match at the same time, that team will forfeit the remainder of the game to the opposing team. If a team is not able to field the required amount of players for additional games in the series, then they will forfeit the remainder of the match.
- Players are not allowed to leave their team and then rejoin to put them on the other side of the arena and will be considered cheating.
T/O staff and CCES² are the final authority on all disputes. Rules are subject to change at the Tournament Organizer’s discretion. Please contact T/O staff in the Discord channel for any disputes.
Refunds & Payouts
There will be no refunds after the start of the tournament bracket. All payouts will be completed through Matcherino, all players will be required to have a Matcherino account to participate and be paid out.
