Transitional Combat 2

In June in 2020, Transitional Combat was able to raise $10.2K for Trans Lifeline. We're back with Transitional Combat 2; a Tekken 7 charity tournament to raise money for Trans Lifeline. Trans Lifeline is a non-profit charity that serves the Trans community in the US and Canada on two fronts. 

Firstly, they operate the only peer hotline that is fully staffed by other Trans folx. This is extremely valuable because when you are calling for peer support - whether it be because you are in crisis or just need a friendly voice - you want someone who is not only trained to support you but has similar lived experiences as you so they can be truly empathetic and present on the line with you. Another important point is that Trans Lifeline does not do “wellness checks.” 

Secondly, Trans Lifeline operates a microgrant program that offsets the cost of the document change process for Trans individuals. In the United States, the cost of having one’s documents updated can be extremely high. With their microgrant program, Trans Lifeline is able to help a handful of people throughout the year have their documents changed without any cost to the recipient.
