About

This tournament will be held on DragonFlight (NA servers).

Teams of 3-4 players will sign-up via Matcherino and provide admins their three unique team compositions they will play during the tournament (submission will be via the tournament discord server). Players can submit multiple comps with the same classes, as long as there is at least (1) spec variation, which means a team could submit:

Comp 1 - Sub Rogue, Fire Mage, Disc Priest

Comp 2 - Assa Rogue, Fire Mage, Disc Priest

Comp 3 - Outlaw Rogue, Fire Mage, Disc Priest

This is a conquest format tournament with best of 5 series. If a team wins with one of their compositions, they can no longer use that composition for the rest of their series. The first team to win with all three of their compositions will win the series.

Tournament check-in will commence one hour prior to tournament start. Bracket will be published once check-in is closed. At the same time, team comps will be published.

Sign-ups will close 24hrs prior at 6pm EDT on June 21st. CR snapshots will be provided at that time by team captains to the admins for seed determinations.

This competition is licensed under Blizzard’s Community Competition License (link). This crowdfunding campaign is neither endorsed nor sponsored by Blizzard.

The rules are a guideline and the decisions by admins may differ from them depending on the circumstances. The tournament administration may change these rules at any time without prior notice. All participants in this tournament additionally agree to adhere to the official Blizzard TOS, In-Game Code of Conduct, as well as the Social Contract. Game Account

Timing and tardiness

Round length

A Wargame (match) is composed of engagements in a Bo5 (Best of 5) format.

Players will be given 3 minutes to prepare, declare to their admin: map selection (first map will always be Nagrand Arena), declare compositions and set up the Wargame.

Each engagement will last a maximum of 25 minutes.

Tardiness

Please contact a tournament organizer if you are unable to communicate with your opponent.

In the case of a team being unable to join in a timely manner, the first engagement will be forfeit.

A grace period of 3 minutes will be granted after the first engagement is forfeit. If the team is still unable to participate, the second engagement will be forfeit.

If the team is unable to make the third engagement, the entire Wargame (match) is forfeit.

End of Round procedure

Each engagement (round) ends when:

Only one team remains, OR;

The time limit for the round is reached, in which case the team with the most players alive is declared the winner. Should there be a tied number of players, the team with the highest damage will be declared the winner.

Tournament admins reserve the right to request an engagement be replayed if deemed necessary.

Upon completion of each match, please submit screenshots to the Technically PVP Tournaments Discord in #match-score-submissions

Match Rules

Match Start

A tournament admin will help you set up the wargame. No additional action on your part will be necessary.

Nagrand Arena must be played as the first map of every match.

Map Selection And Composition Declaration

Teams will be allowed to select their map choices in accordance with the eligible map pool listed below. Playing a map will eliminate it from the map pool for the remainder of the match. Therefore, maps cannot be played more than once. Teams will make their selections in the following order:

The first map of each match played will always be Nagrand Arena.

The losing team of each engagement (round) will select the next map from the pool of remaining maps.

The winning team will declare and lock in their composition.

Following the winning team’s lock-in, the losing team will then declare and lock in their composition.

Teams are required to choose their map, declare compositions and prepare for the game within 3 minutes.

  • In the case of a broadcasted game, please communicate this information with a tournament admin.

Following this conversation, the next Game must be started within 3 minutes.
