🔁 DOUBLE BRACKETING

Players will not be banned from play or future registration for double bracketing, but will be DQ’d if not checked in by our DQ timers, as set below.

Absent party is DQ’d after 5-10 MINUTES
10min Auto-DQ for Winners Bracket
5min Auto-DQ for Losers Bracket

Checking into a match on start.gg is your AGREEMENT that you’re ready to play - checking in and AFK’ing holds up the bracket for everyone involved, and will result in a DQ if you don't begin within 3 minutes of checking in.

Players MUST communicate with the TO if double bracketing, and understand the risk of disqualification if they delay the bracket & harm the experience of the TOs, Commentators, Producers, and fellow Players.

❗SMURFING

Any type of smurfing, including changing name or alias and not letting the TOs know will result in a warning (upon conclusive evidence) followed by a 6-month ban upon finding out about another incident. This is to maintain the integrity of our brackets and ensure our seeding is as tight as we want it to be. Thank you.

⚔ When / Where to play

Winners' Bracket games should always wait to play until streamed matches for your round are confirmed.

As a general rule, Losers' Bracket games should play off-stream as soon as they're ready UNTIL Losers Round 4.

Streamed Winners' Bracket (and top 3) matches will be played in a lobby hosted on our main stream. See pinned messages for the room code. The TO will post big messages in Discord with all relevant information included, so keep an eye out for those.

Off-stream matches should be played in a Park or Player Lobby - make sure to CHECK DISCORD AND START.GG CHAT to find your opponent! We default to East Coast Park #41, but feel free to use what's most convenient for you. Be sure to also check the discord multiple times as a TO may ping you for information on your match or other relevant information.

📶 Connectivity

We aim to offer a relatively relaxed tournament that can include as many folks as possible. With that in mind, we don't have any hard requirements for each player's internet connection quality. Unfortunately, not every connection will be ideal, but hopefully, everything will be reasonably playable.

That said, our preferred standard is for every player to have an upload speed above 5 Mbps and jitter under 6 ms. Connections can be checked at speed.cloudflare.com

🔴 DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE SET IS OVER TO REPORT CONNECTION ISSUES!

In the case of serious, unplayable connection issues, please notify the TO as soon as possible. The TO will ask both players to submit a screenshot of their results from the connection test linked above; the winner will be determined at the TO's discretion according to connection quality.

NOTE: If both connections pass our requirements, they may be asked to "play it out" or respectfully DQ out of fairness to both players.
