Runners must complete runs in accordance with the speedrun.com ruleset.
Participants have 12 hours each day to do attempts and register their fastest times.
Runners will compete on Pokémon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire.
The winner will be the runner who completes a run the furthest under either World Record, otherwise the winner will be the runner who achieves the fastest time after any time adjustments outlined in the rules.
Alpha Sapphire runs have a -1:00 time adjustment for non WR-breaking runs in the final standings.
Runners are required to start their attempts between 11:00 and 17:00 UTC each day.
Runners are not required to be doing attempts for the full 12 hours and are recommended to take breaks that the runner deems reasonable.
Runners can begin a new run at any point in their designated 12 hours, meaning they can start a new run in the final minutes of their 12 hours and are allowed to complete it.
In the event of a tie, the sum of the prize for each position covered is split evenly between each runner.
Runs must be completed live.
The prize money will be split differently depending on whether or not a new WR is achieved:
If the 2:52:09 Omega Ruby or 2:53:57 Alpha Sapphire World Records are Broken,
- The standings are ordered by furthest below the relevant World Records, then per time adjustments for non-WR breaking times.
- the Prize Pool Share is: 1st: 50%, 2nd: 20%, 3rd/4th: 10%, 5th/6th: 5%
Otherwise if both World Records are not broken, the Prize Pool Share is: 1st: 30%, 2nd: 25%, 3rd: 20%, 4th: 15%, 5th: 10%
