1. Core values
1.1 Growth of the players via matchgames practice.
1.2 Matches only between evenly skilled opponents. Players are grouped by skill and results.
1.3 Transparency achieved by sharing all matchgames' replays.
1.4 Competitive atmosphere that trains top performance under stress.
2. Championship format
2.1 StarCraft2 Amateur Championship is a 1v1 tournament.
2.2 The Championship consists of two group phases, both in Round Robin format.
2.3 Matches are Bo4 throughout each phase of the championship. Bo4 means Best of 4 and allows a match to end with a draw 2:2.
2.4 Every map win gives one point in the rankings for that player.
2.5 Before Phase one participants will be seeded into 4 divisions:
Bronze 3 - Plat 2
Plat 1 - Diamond 2
Diamond 1 - Masters 3
Masters 3 - Grandmaster
2.6 In every division participants are drawn into groups of up to 8 players. The number of groups depends on the number of registered participants.
2.7 In Phase one all groups are of equal weight. Names or numbers of the groups don't reflect the skill or ranking of the players in the championship.
2.8 During Phase one players play in Round Robin, having one match per week.
2.9 After 7 weeks, all matches are complete. All players in a division will be sorted by points collected and then will be sorted into groups for Phase two.
2.10 In Phase two groups are ordered by skill and results of the players.
2.11 Top 8 players with most points from Phase one are qualified for participation in Group one of Phase two. Group one will crown a Champion and two runner-ups.
2.12 Group two of Phase two consists of the players between 9th and 16th position. The winner in this group receives the title of Dominator.
2.13 The same rule 2.12 applies for groups three and four, if there are 24 or 32 participants in a division.
2.14 After the sorting into groups all points are reset to zero and Phase two begins.
2.15 In Phase two a new Round Robin between 8 players in a group begins. Once all matches are played, the championship ends.
2.16 In case of a tiebreak between two players in a group, the first resolution is the difference between games won and games lost (one game is one map). If that difference is equal, the winner of the match between the players wins the tie. In case of a draw, players must play a bo7 in order to resolve the tie.
2.17 When the championship ends, the player with the most points in Group one in each division wins the title Champion of the division.
The second and third runner-ups also win titles respectively for second and third place. Every winner of groups different than Group One, win the title of Dominator.

3. Scheduling matches
3.1 Always mention your timezone like CET, EET, MSK or another, to your opponent.
3.2 Opponents play their matches in mutually convenient time. Opponents need not consider streamers' schedules and need not wait on other matches in their group.
3.3 Players must contact their opponent via discord DM ( player discord/bnet tag contact list will be provided ) to arrange a time-to-play. Please provide screenshot proof if a different messaging platform is used. If no proof is given but a walkover is requested from either player, the match will be a double-forfeit with final result 0:0.
3.4 Players must attempt to contact their opponent prior to Wednesday 23:59 EET time for each week. If neither player attempts contact, the match will be a double-forfeit.
3.5 If one player attempts to initiate contact but receives no response prior to 23:59 EET time on Thursday, the match will be a forfeit in favor of the player who attempted contact.
3.6 If players make contact, but one player puts forward considerably less effort towards setting up a time than the other, the admins may deem a walkover against him.
3.7 If both players are unable to reach an agreeable time within the allocated week to play, they must contact SAC admins to discuss.
3.8 An extension may be granted if justified. If players are still unable to schedule a time following this, the match will be a double-forfeit.
4. Playing a Match
4.1 Match server is EU for all matches.
4.2 Please be ready in game 10 minutes before your scheduled match. Furthermore, if you are more than 30 minutes late to your scheduled match or do not show up, a walkover 4:0 will be given to your opponent.
4.3 Join the in-game channel "SAC" (/join SAC) in order to find your opponents.
4.4 For a player to receive a walkover of an opponent showing up later than 30 minutes or not at all, they must be able to provide proof of the agreed time and of an attempt to contact that player after the agreed upon time had passed.
4.5 The map pool will consist of the current 1v1 ladder maps at the time the match is played.
4.6 In order to choose maps for the match, players must first veto 3 maps. The player with less MMR vetoes first, then the player with higher MMR, and then again the player with less MMR. After veto, the player with higher MMR picks the first map, then the other player and so on until 4 maps are picked.
Example:
The player with more MMR is A, the other is B.
Veto order:
BAB
Pick order:
ABAB
4.7 In case of a 3:0 result, the losing player may choose to forfait without penalty, and the final result will be 4:0.
4.8 In case of results of 3:0 or 4:0, the players may decide to do a 15 minute coaching session, in which the player who lost can ask any questions to his opponent, in order to improve his gameplay.
4.9 The coaching session is optional and we do not oblige anyone to participate in it. With the session we want the players to improve their skills and to establish friendships within the players in the championship.
4.10 Coaching session can be done even if the score is not exactly 3:0 or 4:0, if the players agree on doing it.
4.11 If a player leaves in the middle of the match and does not come back, then the final result will be 4:0 for his opponent.
5. Sharing results after the match
5.1 The winner of the match or the winner of the last map in the case of a draw, must make sure the result is shared in both media: discord and Challonge.com. You may ask your opponent for cooperation in the process - while you rename replays, he updates challonge.com.
5.2 Immediately after the game share the result. In extraordinary cases, you have time until the end of the week.
5.3 Score of the weekly match must be shared in challonge.com first and then in the discord channel of your division in the format:
Example:
CLAN Player1 (W) 3-1 clan Player2 (L)
5.4 Replays of the games in a match must be uploaded into the discord channel of your division.
5.5 All replays must be renamed in the format:
[Play week number] [Game number] Fun [value 1-10] [map name] Player 1 vs Player 2
Example:
Week 3 Game 2 Fun 7 Abyssal Reef Player1 vs Player2
5.6 Fun value is an evaluation from 1 to 10, given by you how interesting that particular game was. The purpose of the fun value is to help the casters choose interesting games to cast on twitch later in the week.
We value base race situations, comeback scenarios after being behind, unusual or surprising compositions and other examples of plays thay you yourself would like to watch in an YouTube video.
6. Casting matches
6.1 SAC casters will choose the game to cast according to the fun value, which was given by the players.
6.2 When the players agree on a time to play their match, they can invite a caster to stream their games in the discord channel #cast-my-games.
6.3 Everyone who wants, can stream and cast games, which have already been played, from the public replay folder.
6.4 You will know whether a game has already been cast, if in the replay folder there is a text file with the name "link to VOD.txt".
6.5 When you start your stream you must send a message in the discord channel #live-stream-notifications.
6.6 When you end your stream you must send your VOD to one of the SAC admins, so it can be cut and uploaded to our youtube channel.
7. General
7.1 In order to participate, you must be a member of SAC Discord Server.
7.2 You must not hurt the integrity of the championship in any form. Some examples are, but not limited to: smurfing, hacking, stream cheating, intentionally missing matches, deleting resources from shared storage folders. Anyone caught will be potentially subject to depending on the severity: disqualification from that season and potentially even being banned from tournaments organised by SAC organizers.
7.3 Banter will be tolerated to the extent that it is mature and no one feels insulted/harassed. Harassment and BM will be dealt with firmly, if brought to our attention. This may result in points deduction, disqualification and/or removal from SAC and related tournaments, depending on severity.
