Format

Connections

On bad connections, we test it. Game goes to the player with the good connection. Team gets time to fix their connection while we advance to another matchup. After that captain can bring a sub in if their connection is not fixed. Other team captain can choose who the sub plays against.
On disconnect, you lose the round.

Both teams will participate in a draft picking phase similar to mobas’s like dota and League of legends.
There is no character limit or banning phase.
Characters are chosen along with players when submitting their team. This character choice is final for the round.

Captains will flip a coin, and the winner gets to pick and lock in their character/player first.
First team picks one character, second two, then first picks 2, then second picks 2 again, first picks their final two and after that the second team locks in their final one.

After the draft players will fight their respective opponents in a FT5.
In the example above ROW would face off against Rixta. And team Germany could counter pick Benner’s Vaseraga.
Matches will be played in the order from top to bottom.

Subs are not part of the main team, they are mostly intended as replacements.
There are a limit for subs that can be used. Each round you get one free, no questions asked sub that you can make. On top of that you get three emergency subs for the entire duration of the tournament.
24 hours before a match, teams are required to submit their five players (And characters used). If something comes up and a player can’t make it, then you will need to use an emergency sub to replace them.
If you have a player that cannot make it and no subs left, your team will lose one set by default.

At the end of the round robin, the 2 teams with the most points will play a finals match.
Highest placed team gets to choose if they pick first or second.
Highest placed team will be considered on the winners side and the second on losers.
If the top team loses, we have “bracket reset” where they play another set, but with three players only. Team that forced reset gets a choice on the first or second pick.
The teams can pick the three players for the last set. After their picks we’ll do another short draft picking phase.
After the final draft three ft5s will be played between the last players.

The total prize is split between the winning team(s) based on how many sets each player completed. This means if a player is subbed out for a few sets, their share will be split with the sub that played.
If the prizepool is less than $250 dollars, the winning team takes it all.
If the prizepool goes above $250, then the winners will receive an 80% split with second place taking the remaining 20%
The winning team will also have to play a final exhibition match vs matcherino donators before payouts. This exhibition is to encourage donations for your prize pool.
