AMeowzing Weeklies (1v1)

Tournament Rules:

Date and Time:

• October 2nd 2021
• 8PM CEST / 11 AM PST
• Check in before the tourney starts (Discord)

Crowdfunding:

• The tournament will be run through Matcherino which supports Crowdfunding! 

Registration:

• Players will register via the Matcherino site starting Wednesday September 15th until one hour before the tourney starts

Player Eligibility

• All regions are allowed to compete. However, only EU and NA servers are allowed to host the matches
• Players must be at least 13 years of age
• Cross-play must be turned on for all players

Names:

• Names with inappropriate or derogatory names will not be tolerated and those players will be removed

Tournament Format:

• The tournament will be capped at 64 players
• Players from all regions are eligible to compete
• The Tournament will be double elimination
• All matches will be Best of 3's up until the Winners Semi Finals and the Losers Semi Finals Matches
• In the Semi Finals and Finals the matches will be Best of 5’s

Match hosts:

The player that hosts the game, will be able to choose a map from the maps that are allowed to be played on

Since it's hard to balance NA vs EU, we decided to try something new. Shoutouts to Zuko35 for coming up for this idea!

• BO3 (Same region)
• The Higher Seed will host game 1 and the Lower Seed will host game 2 and the final game will be hosted by the player that wins the game 2 match.
• BO3 (NA vs EU)
• The Higher Seed will host game 1 and the Lower Seed will host game 2. If it's tied 1-1, 2 more games will be played in both EU and NA. The player with the most KO's in both games in total wins the set.
• Example: NA player wins game 1, EU player wins game 2. 2 more games will be played in both EU and NA, for example: the NA player got 11 KO's in NA servers and 3 in the EU servers. Then the NA player has 14 KO's in total. The EU player got 2 KO's in NA servers and 11 in EU servers, adding up to 13 KO's. The NA player has more KO's in both matches and wins the set. If it's a tie in KO's in total, then it will get repeated again. If it's a tie again, then the victor will be decided over a coin toss.
• BO5 (Same region)
• Higher Seed will host game 1 and 3 and the Lower Seed will host game 2 and 4. If it goes to a game 5, the player that won game 2 will host game 5
• BO5 (NA vs EU)
• Higher Seed will host game 1 and 3 and the Lower Seed will host game 2 and 4. If it's tied 2-2, 2 more games will be played in both EU and NA. The player with the most KO's in both games in total wins the set.

Game-modes:

• Game-mode must be Knockout. Items are allowed to be used

Maps:

• Maps that players are allowed to play on are: Stompy's Refuge, Icefall Keep, Temples of Jaaqua, The Star of Crater, Lagoon of Doom, Grand Harbor and Ruined City.

Match Issues:

• If a player lags out during a match, the match will be ended and restarted from the current score
• If there are any issues, please contact a tournament administrator.

Match Requirements:

• After completion of any match, a screenshot must be taken and must be posted on Discord in the #Match-screenshot channel. If a player uses a fake screenshot and claiming it's from the match they played, then the player will be instantly DQ'ed.

Streams:

• Feel free to stream the tourney! Since there isn't a spectator mode in the game, the tournament stream will be watching other players POV via streams.
• Incase neither of the players are streaming their game, then one of our admins (RoyZ Joy or Abdumen) will join that match and spectate the match that way (This will also be streamed on their channel then). If a player KO's the spectator, then that player has to immediately jump off the map and give a point to enemy player. This will only happen if there are not enough or no other players streaming the tourney.

Prize:

• If the Prize Pool is less than $50.00
• 1st place - 100% of the Crowdfunded Prize Pool
• If the Prize Pool is more than $50.00
• 1st place - 75% of the Crowdfunded Prize Pool
• 2nd place - 25% of the Crowdfunded Prize Pool
