Tournament Rules:

Date and Time:

• Saturday, November 6th 2021
• 7PM CEST / 11 AM PST
• Check in before the tourney starts (Discord)

Crowdfunding:

• The tournament will be run through Matcherino which supports Crowdfunding! 

Registration:

• Players will register via the Matcherino site starting Tuesday October 12th until 30 minutes before the tourney starts

Player Eligibility:

• All regions are allowed to compete. However, only EU and NA servers are allowed to host the matches
• Cross-play must be turned on for all players
• Players must be at least 13 years of age

Teams:

• Teams can consist of players in different regions (NA and EU) However, some special rules will apply to that
• The team can only choose one region when they are host (Either NA or EU) for the entire tournament
• Example: The team agrees on playing on EU servers when they are hosts, so they are not allowed to go on NA servers when they are host

Names:

• Names with inappropriate or derogatory names will not be tolerated and those players will be removed

Tournament Format:

• The tournament will be uncapped
• Players from all regions are eligible to compete
• The Tournament will be double elimination
• All matches will be Best of 3's up until the last 8 teams are in the tourney
• Top 8 will have Best of 5 matches
• Bracket reset for the winners of Winners Finals

Match hosts:

The team that hosts the game, will be able to choose a map from the maps that are allowed to be played on

Since it's hard to balance NA vs EU, we decided to use a special rule for that. Shoutouts to Zuko35 for coming up for this idea!

• BO3 (Same region)
• The Higher Seed will host game 1 and the Lower Seed will host game 2 and the final game will be hosted by the team that wins the game 2 match.
• BO3 (NA vs EU)
• The Higher Seed will host game 1 and the Lower Seed will host game 2. If it's tied 1-1, 2 more games will be played in both EU and NA. The team with the most KO's in both games in total wins the set.
• Example: NA team wins game 1, EU team wins game 2. 2 more games will be played in both EU and NA, for example: the NA team got 11 KO's in NA servers and 3 in the EU servers. Then the NA team has 14 KO's in total. The EU team got 2 KO's in NA servers and 11 in EU servers, adding up to 13 KO's. The NA team has more KO's in both matches and wins the set. If it's a tie in KO's in total, then it will get repeated again. If it's a tie again, then the victors will be decided over a coin toss.
• BO5 (Same region)
• Higher Seed will host game 1 and 3 and the Lower Seed will host game 2 and 4. If it goes to a game 5, the team that won game 2 will host game 5
• BO5 (NA vs EU)
• Higher Seed will host game 1 and 3 and the Lower Seed will host game 2 and 4. If it's tied 2-2, 2 more games will be played in both EU and NA. The team with the most KO's in both games in total wins the set.

Game-modes:

• Game-mode must be Knockout. Items are allowed to be used

Maps:

• Maps that players are allowed to play on are: Stompy's Refuge, Icefall Keep, Temples of Jaaqua, The Star of Crater, Lagoon of Doom, Grand Harbor and Ruined City.

Match Issues:

• If a player lags out during a match, the match will be ended and restarted from the current score
• If there are any issues, please contact a tournament administrator.

Match Requirements:

• After completion of any match, a screenshot must be taken and must be posted on Discord in the #Match-screenshot channel. If a player uses a fake screenshot and claiming it's from the match they played, then the player will be instantly DQ'ed.

Streams:

• Feel free to stream the tourney! Since there isn't a spectator mode in the game, the tournament stream will be watching other players POV via streams.
• Incase neither of the players are streaming their game, then one of our admins (RoyZ Joy or Abdumen or both) will join that match and spectate the match that way (This will also be streamed on their channel then). If a player KO's the spectator, then that player has to immediately jump off the map and give a point to enemy team. This will only happen if there are not enough or no other players streaming the tourney.

Substitutes:

• Teams are allowed to have up to 2 substitutes on their team. Once a player is swapped with a substitute, the player that left will no longer be able to play any tournament matches.
• Substitutes are allowed to swap with other substitutes in their team, the same rules will apply on them.

Prize:

• 1st place: 70% of the total price pool
• 2nd place: 30% of the total price pool
• Crowdfunding goal: $100
