Rat Race: Ascension to the Throne

The Rat Race started as a race to legend between friends, that has now blossomed into a community-wide event that ANYONE can sign up for. Starting when the ladder resets, players stream their climb on their own channels. 8 invited players will compete in-person at the Esports Arena playing alongside all other competitors who show up to the arena and those online. The main stream will be hosted by Frodan among others on the Esports Arena Twitch channel.

When and Where?

October 1st 12:00am PDT on the Americas Hearthstone server and live at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana.

Who?

ANYONE who wants to sign up and enter can compete against the 8 invited players and many other pros from around the world! 

All $10 of the entry fee goes directly to the online prize pool which is paid out in full. 

Prizes

The event is split into two prize pools:

The in-person prize pool, where the first person to hit the legend rank or the highest ranked player at the arena after 24 hours will get the in-person bonus of $10,000. There will be random events and things occurring to players to spice things up throughout the 24 hours at the arena.

All $10 of the entry fee goes directly to the online prize pool which is paid out in full. The online prize pool, which is crowdfunded through Matcherino, goes to the first 3 players who hit the legend rank online or in-person. 

1st - 50%

2nd - 30%

3rd - 20%. 

This prize pool is available to all those who play online and in-person.
