Pokkén Tournament DX: FFC 109
Welcome to the evolution of our weeklies! Same old tournaments, but new platform, new payouts, and new tournament series! Things will run practically the same as you know them.
To join the tournament, you must use our Challonge link at https://challonge.com/FFC109.
Date: Sunday, September 4th
Round 1 matches start at 2PM, Eastern Time. Check-in will begin half an hour before, at 1:30PM, Eastern Time.
Registration & Setting up matches
Check-ins happen on the tournament page. Get in contact with your round opponents via the #weekly-tournaments channel in the Pokkén Community discord (invite here!) to arrange a VS Code to use to set up your lobby. Outside of pre-occupation with a prior match, failure to show up for a match within 15 minutes of being asked to will result in a DQ. Keep in mind that some players may get out of matches later than others. To report your set results, either edit your match results here on the tournament page, or message/ping "Euclase, Wise, Gintrax, or RickyThe3rd" on the Pokkén Community discord.
Full Tournament Rules:
- Skill points are banned! Make sure they are set to zero beforehand or fight in a group that has them disabled!
- Matches must be played in a Battle Group with the stage setting of "Fixed Battle Arena." This will result in all stages being the same side and prevent some characters from being much stronger or weaker due to the unique stage shape or size.
- You must check in half an hour before the tournament. Failure to do so will cause you to be dropped from the tournament.
- If you are using an alt to participate, please contact me before check-ins begin, to let me know.
- Bracket is not final until the tournament begins. Please wait to start your round 1 match until the bracket is final and announced.
- Sets are best of 3 matches. Top 3 (Winner/Losers/Grand Finals) will all be best out of 5 matches.
- Players may choose to switch characters mid set. A player may change his support or cheer set on a win or a lose. A player may only change their character on a loss.
- You can report your own matches in the bracket as long as you are logged into the website. If you are having difficulties or made a reporting error, message or ping "Euclase, Wise, Gintrax, or RickyThe3rd" on the Pokkén Community discord to report your match results. Preferably try to message the one of us that's running this particular weekly--we rotate.
- All participants must be on the Pokkén Community discord server (weekly-tournaments channel) to get in contact with your round partners.
